Alx Community – Waterfront occupies the first and second floor of a recently renovated office building on the Old Town waterfront. The beautiful space is designed with co-working and collaboration in mind with private offices ranging in size from 1-33+ people, lots of shared and dedicated desks, high-tech conference rooms, private phone booths, and three super comfy lounges to meet with others or just hang out.

Parking & Entry

Alx Community is located at the river's edge in historic Old Town Alexandria, VA. From Metro: Take the Blue/Yellow line to the King St. Station. Hop the FREE trolley (as available re: COVID-19), ride it to the end of the line. Proceed 2 blocks along North Union Street until you reach 201. Bike: Navigate to 201 North Union St. Outdoor bike parking is available next to the building, indoor bike parking is provided inside the Torpedo Factory Condominiums Colonial Parking Garage (Lee Street Entrance). Car: Navigate to 201 North Union St. Paid and free street parking is plentiful (free parking is a couple blocks away). Discounted Day Parking Passes are available for HB Parking at 150 S. Union St. Day parking is also available at three lots across the street from and behind Alx.

Lighting & Seating Options

Our coworking guests enjoy a variety of seating options, from our shared flex desks (socially-distanced, with polycarbonate dividers between each seat); comfy banquettes (socially-distanced seating), our Town Hall and Lounge sofas and lounge chairs, and our cafe tables and chairs. We also have outdoor cafe-style patio seating for those beautiful summer days.
