From the front door to the back, every square foot has a story. From tables designed through training programs to coffee that shares stories of the world, from mural inspirational quotes displayed on walls that were spoken at our gatherings to screens looping problems being solved by people throughout our community. If and when you walk into this place, it must inspire you to go back to where you call home and make it better. This place is an entrepreneurial training center where ideas are shaped, where stories are experienced, where mentoring transpires and where people find community. People come here to make a difference out there. Our goal is for this space to inspire more good into the world. When people engage Plywood Place, it will cause others to dream in unimaginable new ways, not out of shame but out of hope and responsibility. We saw the need for a space that made people believe that better is possible, so we created Plywood Place. We have dozens of common spaces flooded throughout our building, with comfy couches and booths to standing desks and long tables. If you need to take a call you can hop in our phone booth located at the front of the building or head on up to the Zoom Zone that has several private spaces for you to take calls. We have two conference rooms that fit up to 12 people each that have whiteboard walls for dreaming and TVs for streaming. We also have a podcast room available. And an event space if you are looking to host a larger meeting. Whether you need to zone in or zone out. Dream out loud or put a pen to the paper, we have a space for you.
Commuter desks can sit anywhere in the common area/event area/overflow seating at the top of the stairs. Many people come to places like this to work alongside others. Community spaces were designed around standing conversation spaces, large work tables or living room environments. We have options for 2 person meetings all the way to 10 person board rooms. Think booths, conference rooms, facing couches, community tables, and a coffee bar. The story of these spaces is seen on large post-it notes, dry-erase scratches on glass walls, sheets of paper rolled up under an armpit as they leave, shared on screens and high-fived at the end of the day.
When you arrive, please check in at the front desk, someone will be there to greet you and answer any questions you may have.
